Splashy the water drop spirit, free Amigurumi pattern. This is a very easy crochet project for beginners. You will practice how to crochet a simple Amigurumi, as well as how to add felt details to amigurumis.
Today is the world water day and to commemorate such important date I wanted to create splashy, the water spirit because splashy has an amazing personality: transparent, clean and pure, he goes with the flow and adapts to situations. Also splashy breaks through any obstacle just by slowly dissolving and reshaping itself without a scratch. He is soft but with the help of other splashies they are indestructible and powerful. Splashy gives life to other lifeforms and never expects anything in return. We should be more like water splashies don't you think?
For this Amigurumi you will need:
Blue felt
Blue Yarn 5mm (US 8)
My suggested yarn is Drops Paris in Color#02
Felting Needle
1 pair of safety eyes (I am using 6 mm size)
Fiber filling
Hook: I am using a crochet hook called clover soft touch of 5 mm but you can use any hook of your preference, make sure it is 5 mm otherwise the wholes between the loops will be too big.
This is a 1 Star pattern
BODY
With blue yarn:

Round 4- [2sc un next st, sc in next 2 sts] around(24 sts)

Fasten off. Leave a long tail for hanging it in your favourite spot, use the needle felt technique to add some felt in the top for Splashy's hair.
Cut a piece of black felt and glue it between the eyes to create the mouth. If you do not have felt you can embroider it instead.
You are done!
